Who I Am
Hey, I'm Mason: filmmaker, creative director and strategist based in Connecticut and working around the globe, and the founder of Nautilus Media.
What I Look For
I'm usually the one asking a lot of questions, because I love to understand why something works the way it does. In my work, that means finding the human thing at the center. Everyone deserves their own story, so nothing I make looks the same.
How I See
I've been behind the camera for more than a decade, and what keeps me interested is finding a new angle on how the world works. Reflections, both literally in mirrors and metaphorically in thought, are a key part of my work.
Off the Clock
Traveling and planning the next trip before the current one's over, watching movies (and analyzing those too), and deep conversations about psychology, philosophy, and wherever else the conversation goes.

Deep Water
A nautilus lives deep in the ocean, and deep is where I like to work. I care about what a piece of work says about a brand and how it represents the people behind it, so I never stop at the surface.
The North Star
The name is also a nod to Jules Verne's 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. Verne imagined an electric submarine crossing the world's oceans decades before the technology existed. Staying ahead of the curve is the goal, and the North Star for Nautilus Media.
